Since 1994, Intuitive has pioneered the development of enterprise software for mid-market companies around the world.

Intuitive™ ERP, a Consona™ ERP solution, was built around the concept that the software should support standard business cycles and that the underlying technology should be flexible and affordable. Developed using solely Microsoft technologies, the software incorporated well-established manufacturing and accounting practices (such as those prescribed by APICS and GAAP) and an intuitive user interface to deliver very sophisticated solutions—as well as economic value—to mid-market manufacturers.

Today, the company's latest version of the product, Intuitive ERP 8.1, is a full-function, integrated enterprise software solution, built with powerful new technology, which offers manufacturers an intuitive user interface and rapid return on investment.

Advances in Manufacturing Technology: Pure Microsoft .NET

By choosing to create an enterprise software system using 100 percent Microsoft technology, Intuitive boasts a development environment free from the burdens of supporting legacy applications.

Intuitive has continued to support advances in manufacturing technology by building the next generation of enterprise software using pure Microsoft .NET technology. After 24 months of research and development, on June 29, 2001, Intuitive completed a prototype of its Microsoft .NET architectural framework and released a plan to convert the entire Intuitive ERP product—every feature, every line of code—to pure .NET “managed code” technology. With the release of Intuitive ERP 6.0 in December 2002, the second phase of this plan was complete. Intuitive ERP 6.0 was the first ERP product to release several areas of functionality built on a 100 percent Microsoft .NET managed code architecture.

Just one year later, Intuitive ERP 7.0 (released in early 2004), featured over 50 percent of product functionality written in pure .NET managed code. The release of Version 7.0 also coincided with Intuitive's 10-year anniversary. The 7.1 and 7.2 releases of Intuitive ERP increased that percentage of .NET-managed functionality to over 80 percent. Along with the hundreds of new features the 7.2 release offered, Intuitive was the clear frontrunner in bringing the groundbreaking new capabilities of .NET-based enterprise software to the manufacturing industry.

With the release of Version 8.0 in May 2006, all major areas of functionality in the Intuitive ERP product have been converted to .NET-managed technology. The 8.1 follow-up release in September 2007 focused on customer-driven product development and new functionality.

Continuing Growth

Following outstanding growth and results in 2005 and the strongest two quarters in Intuitive’s company history in 2006, Intuitive was acquired by Consona Corporation (formerly M2M Holdings, Inc.) in July 2006. The merger of these two leading ERP software providers for the mid-market offers new value for the discrete manufacturing community in the areas of advanced customer care and cutting-edge technology for the enterprise.
