Intuitive Manufacturing Systems Releases Integration with SolidWorks

Intuitive addresses the 3D design needs of engineer-to-order manufacturers

Kirkland, Washington ? September 13, 2004 ? Intuitive Manufacturing Systems, a leading provider of enterprise resource planning solutions, announced the complete integration between the Intuitive ERP product and SolidWorks Corporation?s 3D design software for manufacturers.

This integration goes beyond a simple interface and truly connects the two software packages in a way that gives a company?s Engineering department a single point from which to create and connect drawings with no duplicate data entry. From within the SolidWorks software, engineers may search the Intuitive ERP database for items, create and/or edit new items for new parts, subassemblies, and finished goods, and edit and create both complete multi-level bills of material and routings. This integration is fully incorporated into the SolidWorks menu, so that the user can perform all of the above Intuitive ERP tasks from within SolidWorks.

Once product design is complete, the associated parts (including subassemblies and finished goods) can be imported directly into Intuitive ERP with no duplicate data entry and complete visibility into all of the product details (including BOMs and Routings). Items may be changed and updated as well as imported as new.
