Inspect Returned Materials

The Return Material Authorization (RMA) module applies the same level of quality management to returned items as is applied to production inventory. Inspection is required for all returned materials.

This process allows you to dispose of the returned materials as scrap if they cannot be used, return them to inventory if they are still good, or open a rework order if they can be reworked.

The RMA module provides you with complete tracking functionality, from assigning an RMA number for the customer, dispositioning samples (optional), receiving the returned materials, and dispositioning all returns. Credit memos and replacement orders can be automatically generated if desired.

RMA reports are available to help you track product quality issues. You can monitor the return activity for particular product families and date ranges, and even individual products and customers. An RMA inspection report provides quantitative and qualitative information on the returned materials.
